How to Share your Files the Easy Way

If like me, you are working with different computers all the time, then I strongly recommend you to check Box.net.

This website is a tool that allow you to upload your files and folders to their servers in an easy and very user-friendly way so that you can access them from anywhere. You can share permissions with as many people as you want as well.

So In short, just have a look at their website, it says it all. Best of all it’s free. You could always upgrade for more space and tools but frankly speaking the free version is enough for me.

Susan Boyle Audition

Following her audition on the UK show “Britain’s got Talent”, the video went viral on most video sharing sites. Visible Measures, which tracks online video usage, estimates that so far Boyle’s performance has already been seen more than 47 million times. So far the most popular video of all-time is the “Evolution of dance” with 117 Millions Views achieved in couple of years. Susan Boyle has been on the web for little more than a week!!!

It just proves the power of viral marketing and that the internet more than any other media can make or break anybody.

How to Article Directory

I recenty found out about HowHub, an article directory  specialised in “How To” articles. The particularity of this directory compare to others is that the website gives you 50% of all Adsense revenue generated by your articles.

So not only do you get some backlinks juice for each article but you might even get some nice income on the side.

I have just submitted one article and will probably submit more in the weeks to come.  I will then be able to give more feedback about HowHub in the future.

Check HowHub Here.

Get a Favicon for Your Blog

What is a Favicon?

favicon Do you see the Letter E inside your browser in front of the URL of my blog? Well, this is a Favicon.

A favicon is a little 16×16 image displayed inside the browser location’s bar as well as the bookmark menu. It allows your reader to identify your site easily in the middle of all of their bookmarks. It is kind of like a branding for your blog.

How to Create a Favicon?

There are a couple of websites out there that can create a favicon for you instantly and for FREE. I personally use this one here.

You just need to chose a picture or image that you have and upload it on the website and they will create fhe favicon. You then just need to download it to your computer.

How To use a Favicon?

Once you have your nice little favicon, you will need to upload it to your server (usually the public_html folder). To check if you did it right, type http://yourdomainname.com/favicon.ico and it should appear in your browser.

Afterwards you have to insert the following code in the HEAD section of your page or in your header.php page if you’re using a Wordpress theme between the <head> tag:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://yourdomainname.com/favicon.ico">

Save your changes and it should be all set. Refresh your website page couple of times and it should appear after  a while.

Wordpress app for iPhone

I just found out about this new free iPhone application that allows you to connect to your WP blogs from your iPhone. You can check your last posts and more importantly make new ones so basically it allows you to blog on the go.

Quite often you can be in some places and have an idea you would like to blog about but you don’t have your computer with you. Well now you can.

This app only allows basic text posting at the moment but more features will be added in the future. More importantly it is totally free and does work with an iPod Touch ad well.

So go on iTunes and look for the wordpress app and grab it now.

By the way this post was just written using the application.
