I was surprised as most of the people I knew had absolutely no problem registering with them. And then it hit me: currently living in China maybe my chinese ip was the reason behind this problem.

So I used an anonymous web proxy: Hypercloak and bingo my application process went through.

So here you have it, if like me you are living in China or some other “desira non grata” countries, use a proxy to register to your favorite programs.
